Home security questions
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Video records to a recorder in your home, and the phone app is free. Monthly fees only apply if you add optional 24/7 alarm monitoring.
Do the cameras need Wi-Fi?
No. We use wired PoE cabling, which carries power and data on one cable. It's more reliable and secure than Wi-Fi, and there are no batteries to charge.
Will it work if the internet goes down?
Yes. Cameras keep recording to your recorder. You just can't view remotely until the internet is back. A battery backup keeps recording through short power cuts.
Can I record my neighbour's property?
Cameras should focus on your own property. We aim cameras carefully and use privacy masks so neighbouring windows and yards aren't recorded.
Can you install in a condo or townhouse?
Yes. We'll check what your condo corporation allows, then recommend indoor cameras, a doorway camera or a compact system to suit.
